Thanks for weighing in on my poll. The one I posted on my company also got good results, with probably ten people sending in words they hate, which included

• leverage (lots of people hated that word)
• blue-sky-thinking
• at the end of the day
• killer-app
• "action" as an adverb E.g. "We'll need to "Action" this plan by end June at the latest."
• vet or vetting
