buzzkill

I'm going to run a poll on my company intranet this week. Thought I'd try it out on all of you.

What buzzword annoys you the most?
Synergy
Out-of-the-Box
Bleeding Edge
Low hanging fruit

I actually like the term "think outside of the box" because i like to defy sister bernice who in second grade told me that i could not find my way out of a cardboard box. now here i am, not only physically outside but also thinking outside said box.

"Out of the box" and "low hanging fruit" are tied in my book. Remind yourself to punch me if you ever catch me using that in a serious or semi-serious manner.

All of those pale in comparison to the family of made up "ize" verbs.

There are situations where "synergy" is an accurate and appropriate term for the situation at hand. But there has never been a legitimate reason, ever, in the history of the universe, for "solutionize."
