7th speech, 3 more to go
So I gave my 7th speech at my local toastmasters club yesterday -- the skill was to show how well you could research a topic and talk about it. So I called mine "Practice makes perfect" and talked about how to be effective at practicing the piano. It went really well, but I need to work on not crossing my feet (ballet style) and leaning at times.

I had a really fun time this weekend, Ruth! Thanks for all your hospitality. I hope to see you again (sooner than 7 years), and don't let the machine (i.e. work) grind you down.

Manong, it was great seeing you too! Maybe next time, I'll actually have a larger apartment and you can sleep on something better than my air mattress.
What are you talking about? The air matress was nice! It's about the same as an Army-issue bed and several levels better than a sleeping bag on the ground which we're sometimes made to sleep in.
