Sorry for the long pause between posts. When you have to average writing about 2000 word stories per week for work, the creativity juices start to run dry.
I have been on a baking frenzy, enjoying what my brand new stove can do. I've been experimenting with jam filled cookies, and most recently, brownies made with Giardelli's cocoa powder and chocolate chips. My coworkers are enjoying the results. If I bake enough, they'll get fat, and I"ll be thin by comparison. That's way better than exercising!
Speaking of exercising, I have been making it to the gym, yay me, about 3 times a week now. Some elliptical, some yoga, and strength training. And, this past Sunday, S. and I went to Poconos Camelback resort again for skiing/snowboarding excursion. It was a beautiful sunny day, not nearly as frigid as the last time I went. Also, it wasn't nearly as crazy with people -- at least this time, I didn't get run into 2 times. I feel so much more confident about my skiing now. The last run - we took a much steeper, double blue square slope (advanced intermediate). I stared at it for a while, watched how other skiiers did it. I then realized that I just needed to ski like I was skidding down it, and it worked! Well, I ended up skiing backwards for a bit down that slope, not on purpose, but there was no time to panic. Luckily I came to a stop, started laughing a lot, and then continued skiing. Tahoe, here I come!
