Merry Christmas

Neighborsgrrl with Paddington Bear, from deepest darkest Peru!
Merry Christmas everybody! I hope you're having a wonderful holiday with your family and friends...and if you don't celebrate, avoid the Chinese restaurants in NYC. They're packed today!

I'm having a wonderful time in Washington DC with my family. We've eaten french toast and ham, opened presents. I received a beautiful handmade traditional Chinese green silk shirt/jacket, honey from Morrocco, 2nd season of Lost, a swatch watch with cherries on it, gift cards for books and clothes, an FC Barcelona scarf -- thanks for such wonderful gifts Neighborsfamily and Chongstein! We also played Dominos, ate a great Xmas dinner of baked salmon, boiled potatoes and large beans drizzled with pumpkin seed oil, tomato and avocado salad, and cornbread. Delish. If you were wondering why no traditional turkey and ham -- the answer, we did that on Saturday night with another family. Besides, how much turkey can you really have? Fish is so much tastier.

Now, we're hanging out to watch the first half of the Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles game, and later on this evening, we'll head over to the Kellman's annual Bu-Jew party (Buddhist Jewish party) which is traditionally held on Christmas day.

As I look back on this year, the second half has involved a lot of travel.
August - Pittsburgh, Texas, San Diego
October - Scottsdale, Washington DC
November - London, Hong Kong

Who knows what next year will bring? In the meantime, I leave you with the last photo I snapped in London on my way back from Hong Kong with another seasoned traveler. It's me and Paddington Bear, at, where else, Paddington Station.

Merry Christmas everyone.
