Wow -- I can't believe it -- the 2006 baseball season is officially OVER. And my dad's beloved Cardinals are the World Series champs! Incredible. He's out in Vietnam and completely over the moon about this. I remember how crushed I felt when the Cards got swept by the Red Sox in 2004 -- and I thought that was as stronger team. But this was pretty special.
The Detroit pitchers, with the exception of Kenny Rogers, just really looked nervous, and made crazy errors. Bet they'll be going over the fundamentals next season. It still hasn't hit me.
Well, in the meantime, enjoy some of the photos I took of the team, from game 6 when I watched the Mets-Cardinals in the NLCS.

David Eckstein won the MVP award in the World Series, and he really is the ignition spark for the team. But I think my favorite is the catcher, Benjy Molina. Watching him and Ivan Pudge Rodriguez for Detroit -- was just so much fun. They're such amazing defensive players.
