plane karma

It's hot, it's damn hot. There, I said it, and had to get that out. I don't know how I'm going to think in this weather.

Pittsburgh was awesome -- my friend the eye doctor knows how to entertain :) Cuban dinner party, an apt overlooking the water, a 5 minute walk to the baseball stadium (which is one of the prettiest I've ever seen) -- what's not to like?

But the flight there and back was just fraught with difficulties. Thunderstorms and delays for the planes meant I got to that city at 12:30am instead of 9:30pm. Then, coming back, the plane had leaky fluid from the hydraulic lift, and we had to wait for another plane from Boston to show up. Again, I didn't get into JFK until 11:15, then had to take two trains, so I got to bed at 1:30am. The only cool thing -- Steve Buscemi was on my flight with his family. Even famous actors had to suffer -- a small consolation -- only with the lovely 34" seat room. Even the jetblue directtv satellite channels weren't working. Sigh. Of course, this all had to happen one week after I tried to get to Philly but my flight was canceled from all the bad weather delays.

It's enough to put me off flying. Except, tomorrow afternoon, I head down to east Texas by way of Shreveport for Grandma Neighbors' 90th birthday bash. And then, in another few weekends -- San Diego here I come!

There had better not be any more flight delays...that's all I'm saying.

Ditto, gouldie :) That was a fun party -- it's so nice to see such a large gathering of family. Normally, that only happens these days at a wedding, or maybe a funeral.
