you CAN get a cab in the rain

My outing to Central Park on Tuesday night went well -- we had a great picnic and hear the NY Symphony which was quite fun. There must have been at least 10 of us -- with more cheese, salami and bread than you can imagine, and a variety of drinks, including this amazing sangria (made from a Miami recipe). Then, there were fireworks following the concert. It was a little odd -- no music to accompany the fireworks. But not more than 10 minutes after everything wrapped up -- huge storms hit the area so we were drenched. I must have gained 10-20 pounds in an instant, all from having waterlogged clothes. But then, the taxi gods smiled upon us and amazingly, we got a cab to Queens.
