countdown

This is the last week one of my coworkers is here before she leaves for a nice 3 week vacation and then goes to work for an interactive design agency. Very envious, especially of the vacation part.

I'm quite tired today -- yesterday, I spent the whole day at a forum for large companies who work on Intranets -- it was fantastic -- only about 25 people there so a nice small group where you could really discuss issues. Then, a quick break, and that evening, a visit to my monthly usability professionals meeting, which was followed by dinner with the group. I got a chance to meet a lot of interesting people and got some very good leads on future opportunities. Just a great networking day -- but after all that, I'm feeling pretty drained. Despite my attempt to sleep in, I only managed an extra 30 minutes.
