My coworker Brocoli (long story as to why he's called that), organized a great night out at LeisureTime Bowling with a group of coworkers. Apparently, I swaggered as a I bowled last night. Some of the gang was making fun of me when I would do my victory shimmy down the lane. But my group won, ha ha.
Considering that I haven't done it in 6 years, I was pretty amazing :). I did get at least one strike..the other was given to me when they reset the board. Not that I'm complaining. We couldn't complete the second game because of technical problems.
After that, I went out on a fun dinner date with this guy I met while skiing, who coincidentally, is temporarily working at my company. I invited him to bowling just to suss him out, see if he was cool. Since to be honest, I didn't really remember him very well from the ski trip....with 55 people's names to learn, just a wee bit hard to keep track.
That reminds me, monkeyshankboy has said I've got to get ready for V-Day.
So, if I were really a good planner, I could say that I am busy lining up my candidates as well after going on a ski trip to Killington this past weekend. Ha ha -- I've gone from having no prospects to 3.
bachelor #1 is a real, genuine rocket scientist [insert your favorite joke] who then moved onto work for Sirius, launching their satellites, and for whatever reason is now working for the MTA. Nice although I think he might be a bit old for me.
bachelor #2 likes baseball, soccer and the opera, consults at my company (coincidentally), writes a witty email, and can bowl more or less. My score was better than his last night.
bachelor #3...and it might be a stretch to say he's interested because I haven't actually gotten in further contact with him...but he did peace corp biz dev in Kazakstan, former consultant with famous firm, and now works for a big ad agency and the NFL is his client...so of course, he's down in Florida for the SuperBowl. And I got along great with him and his cousin on the trip. They were both super cool and just fun to hang out with.
Not bad, eh?
