So, did you know that London Bridge is not the bridge that everyone outside London thinks it is? It's actually Tower Bridge. London Bridge is really boring looking.
I came in on Saturday with my mother, and after an entertaining ride with the car service (in which we learned all about the Lord Mayor, and the notorious Kray Brothers of East End) we met up with Neighborsman and had a fantastic time exploring Borough Hall market. I have to post this great photo of a pig head on a stick that Mama took a picture next to. It was advertising a food stand where you could get this great roast pork sandwich. Delish! We also had fantastic fish and chips. Without the vinegar on chips -- that, I'm not a fan of.
As my mother and I kept saying, you would not believe what kind of pressure London put on everyone to prepare for Christmas. There are a million reminders to reserve for Christmas dinner. Food markets offer all sort to-be-cooked dinners, such as venision stuffed with pork and apricots, turkey stuffed with goose and pheasant wrapped with pancetta, salmon stuffed with herbs and shrimps.
I'll have more to update later. I'll be here all week!
