sunny room, magazines, comfortable chairs...and this is boring?

I had jury duty yesterday in Jamaica Queens...and it was pretty good until the last hour, when time..just..seemed..to..stand..still.

But I didn't get called on, which is slightly disappointing. At the end of the day, I was thanked for my service, and it was "See you in 6 years!" Not bad for a day of sitting around reading magazines, checking email on my TREO, and sitting in a nice, sunny room.

It's a lot better than my experience when I was in the City, and was in what felt like an airless room. The only benefit to the jury duty in the City, is that at least the food options are much better. You can go to Chinatown and Little Italy for lunch. Where I was yesterday, well, it was pretty slim pickins. I had MickeyD's...the safest, and cleanest venue for fries and mcgrill chicken. It was mcyummy.
