leaving games early

I've said this before and I'll say it again...what is the point of leaving a game early, especially if the outcome is in doubt?

Earlier this month, I went to a Mets-Astros game. Tom Glavine vs. Andy Pettitte. Great pitching duel -- too bad the Mets didn't win. But it was tied in the 9th and went to the 13th inning before the Mets lost. But wouldn't you know, all these people started leaving in the 9th inning.

I really don't get it. I was tired the next day becauseI had to commute about an hour and a half that night after the game -- but I'd be crazy to leave a game not knowing the outcome.

agreed. unless you are physically ill and have to seek medical attention, why pay all that cash and just bail?
